They also like people who run warmer; a sweaty person seems quite delicious to them – couch potatoes, rejoice. Strenuous exercise increases the formation of lactic acid in your body, Smithsonian points out, while genetic factors “affect the amount of uric acid and other substances emitted naturally by each person, making some people easily detected by mosquitoes than others.”
